IGA Information and Frequently Asked Questions

Effective January 1, 2022, the Judicial Branch of Arizona, Maricopa County's, Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) went into effect which formalized the Judicial Branch of Arizona, Maricopa County as a separate entity from Maricopa County. The most significant change will be when an employee of the County changes employment to the Judicial Branch or if an employee of the Judicial Branch changes employment to a County entity. Movement between the agencies will be treated as termination from one agency and a New Hire to the receiving agency.
