A Message from Hon. Joseph C. Welty

The Judicial Branch in Maricopa County is the fourth largest court system in the United States. It has a national reputation for excellence and innovation. With over 160 judicial officers and 3000 employees, the branch is responsible for the delivery of court and probation services to the over 4.7 million people in Maricopa County. All in the branch are dedicated to the rule of law, public safety, and the protection of individual rights under the Arizona and U.S. Constitutions. The branch strives to provide access to justice for all and we treat all who appear in our courts with fairness, respect and dignity.

Our probation offices include both adult and juvenile probation and also oversee juvenile detention.
