Victim Services

The Victim Rights Coordinator contacts every victim of an accused juvenile crime. Usually, contact is made by letter a few days after the report is received from the police. The letter informs victims of scheduled hearings and other developments in their case such when the juvenile is released from detention or if the youth is placed in a treatment program.

If the youth is determined to be delinquent, the victim is sent a Verified Victim Statement and notification of the day and time of the youth's next hearing. Victims are encouraged to attend the hearing.

If the victim is interested in receiving restitution, they should:

  • Complete the Verified Victim Statement with the signature notarized.
  • Attach copies of any receipts from the original purchase or replacement of the damaged items.
  • Send the notarized Verified Victim Statement and receipts to Clerk of the Superior Court, 3131 W. Durango, Phoenix, AZ 85009.

If you are a victim and did not receive a Verified Victim Statement form in the mail or you need a replacement copy, please contact the Victim Rights Coordinator at 602-506-3437.
