Substance Use

Drug Court

Maricopa County Drug Court Program offers an outpatient counseling and drug monitoring program for probationers found guilty of a drug related offense.

Substance Use Treatment

In 1996, Arizona voters passed Proposition 200 legislation whereby treatment, not incarceration, must accompany first and second time drug convictions. Through effective Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, participants are taught how to create new, drug-free lives for themselves and end the continuing drug cycle. The Drug Treatment Education Fund is a funding mechanism created to subsidize education and treatment services for probationer who fit the profile outlined in A.R.S. 13- 901.01 (A) & (F) and have a financial need.
