After two decades of overseeing a variety of court calendars, Commissioner Casey Newcomb is retiring from the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County.
During his time on the bench, Commissioner Newcomb served in the Family and Criminal Departments. He also managed a mixed civil and probate calendar. Most recently, he spent the last four years in the Family Department.
“It truly has been an honor and privilege serving on the Superior Court bench for last 20 years,” said Commissioner Newcomb.
Prior to joining the Judicial Branch, he served as an administrative law judge from 1997 - 2005 and an assistant attorney general from 1993 -1997.
Commissioner Newcomb served our country as a member of the U.S. military, which included his role as a Judge Advocate General Officer. During his service, he received the Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal Ribbon.
He earned his Juris Doctorate and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
