The Pre-Disposition & Administrative Services Bureau provides support for people who are waiting for the Court to decide on their release or sentencing. This includes individuals who may be eligible for pretrial release, those who need electronic monitoring, people involved in court proceedings, and anyone waiting for a decision at disposition.
Pretrial Services supports the Court and individuals before their cases are resolved. The team uses a validated risk assessment to give the Court clear information about a person’s likelihood to return for hearings and remain crime-free. They also stay in contact with individuals on release to help them meet their court requirements. Through timely and accurate updates, Pretrial Services helps judicial officers make informed release decisions.
Presentence Services helps the Court by preparing detailed reports that judicial officers use when deciding a sentence for someone convicted of a crime. These reports include information about the crime, statements from victims, statements from the individual, and input from others involved in the case.
Adult Probation Department (APD) records requests most commonly involve an Order of Discharge from Probation or a court-ordered request for an individual’s complete probation file. Records maintained by probation officers may only be released with a valid court order.
