This internship offers interns meaningful opportunities to support a variety of departments and projects within the Juvenile Probation Department.
Interns may work with or shadow various units throughout the Probation Department, gaining exposure to diverse Probation services.
Interns may have the opportunity to support the Youth Development Coordinator team, which provides programming activities for detained youth.
Interns gain valuable insight into collaborating with Detention professionals and understanding what it means to work in a secure care environment.
Interns support multiple aspects of this online learning platform designed to address unmet criminogenic needs for justice-involved youth. Responsibilities include reviewing youth stories with strength-based responses, creating Growth Plans, tracking data, and more.
Interns help to maintain the onsite resource closets that provide Probation/Detention youth and their families with essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and other necessities.
